The Archives & The Awakening: Why I am sharing my journey

When I started "Road to Redemption," I promised myself one thing:, radical honesty.

Lately, I’ve been digging through my old journals, the ones I wrote while sitting in inpatient treatment, surrounded by white walls and a lot of uncertainty. Some of those entries are messy. They are filled with the raw pain, the "wrong reasons" for being there, and the early flickering of hope.

I’ve decided that I’m not going to tuck those away. I’m going to share them right alongside the new things I’m writing today.

Bringing the Past into the Light

You might see posts here that feel heavy. These are my "Time Capsule" entries. They come from a version of me who was still numbing the pain, still fighting the guilt, and just trying to survive the next hour.

I’m sharing the old content because:

  1. Recovery isn’t a straight line. You need to see where I started to understand where I am now.

  2. You aren’t alone. If you are in that dark place right now, I want you to see your thoughts reflected in my old writing.

  3. The "Day One" matters. Every word I wrote in treatment was a brick in the foundation of the life I’m building today.

The New Perspective

Alongside those archives, you’ll see my current work. This is the content written with a clear head and a focused heart. It’s the work of a mother, a professional, and a woman who has reclaimed her freedom.

This new content is about the "How":

  • How I stay organized and focused.

  • How I navigate the world without the "numbing."

  • How I’m turning my past setbacks into a toolkit for others.

Why the Mix Matters

To only show you the "Redeemed" version of me, I have to share the struggle. By sharing both the old and the new, I’m showing the full anatomy of change.

Whether it’s a journal entry from a treatment center or a strategy guide for a "Redemption Reset," it all belongs here. It’s all part of the story.

Thank you for walking this road with me, every messy, beautiful mile of it.
